Rock Your Socks!

Every year on 3/21, people around the world celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by wearing bright, colorful, and mismatched socks - but why? Socks have become a symbol of inclusion, awareness, and support for individuals with Down syndrome. The idea started with the concept that chromosomes, which are shaped like tiny socks under a microscope, hold the key to what makes us unique. People with Down syndrome have an extra copy of chromosome 21, and March 21st (3/21) was chosen as a day to honor this beautiful difference.
